Atom Travel won the Best Agent Award for Mauritius and worldwide from Air Mauritius, as well as the Best Supporting Agent for South African Airways for 2014-2015.

Atom Travel won the Outstanding Sales award from Emirates Airlines and the No. 1 Agent Award for Mauritius and worldwide from Air Mauritius for 2013-2014.

Appointment as partner of STA Travel, one of the largest travel organizations for students and young people. STA Travel is a global travel specialist with 30 years’ experience advising young people on holidays and adventures abroad. They offer a unique range of flights, accommodation, tours and expeditions in 90 countries and send over 6 million passengers away each year. STA Travel has over 400 branches worldwide and has revenues over 1Billion USD

Atom Travel received a Top Revenue Supporter Award from Cathay Pacific. Best Indian Ocean Sales Performance 2010 for Costa Cruise.

We also entered into a Joint Venture with a Seychelles company, well-known locally, to open a cruise office in Seychelles.

Appointment as the exclusive agent for Cunard, Princess and Carnival Cruises, members of the Worlds Leading Cruise Lines. The latter is a marketing alliance which forms part of the Carnival Corporation, a global cruise company, one of the largest vacation companies in the world, and listed on the New York Stock exchange.

Atom Travel was awarded the Best Agent Award and the Best Growth Award by Air Mauritius. Atom Travel was also recognized as the Best Sales agent for Mauritius Union.

Appointment as the Passenger Sales Agent of Costa Cruises in Mauritius, Seychelles and Madagascar.

Atom Travel received the Platinum award for being Top Agent for Dragon Air.

!n 2003, Atom Travel received the prestigious Indaba SAA Travel & Tourism award for being the Best Travel Agent in the Indian Ocean.

Recognition by the Mauritian government for the outstanding contribution of our Founder and MD to the tourism sector of Mauritius. Mr Charles Ng was awarded the title of Commander of the Star & Key of the Indian Ocean.

All Port Louis branches are regrouped under one roof in our current location, the Atom House (FIT & Corporate division), 16, Royal Road, Port Louis.

Appointment of Atom Travel as sales agent of Star Cruises and Sun Cruises. Mauritians have since then been able to book cruises in South East Asia  through Atom Travel instead of having to do so through an overseas agent.

In 1996, we opened our branch in Curepipe. Our address there is: Manhattan Heights, Lees Street, Curepipe.

That year saw a paradigm shift in the business of Atom Travel: corporate travels are identified and targeted as a new market segment. New products are introduced.

Mrs Caroline CHEN joined Atom Travel as Sales Director in 1990.

Mrs Christine WONG, our agency manager, joined Atom Travel.

Atom Travel was incorporated as a private company in 1971. That was also the year the first staff was recruited.

Moved to the famous ‘boite allumette’ office on Royal Street (nick name affectionately given by our customers for its small area). IATA Approved.

Opening of Atom Travel at Jummah Mosque Street by our MD, Mr Charles NG. For 10 years, the business was run as a one man show with Mr Ng acting as salesperson, office boy, accountant and marketing officer. The company had as fixed assets only one table and one chair the telephone line of the neighbour was given as contact details of Atom Travel.
