Take a photo opportunity tour around the island to discover some of its most beautiful beaches, Siamese architecture, Buddhist temples. Visit the Big Buddha made of marble built on a patch of virgin rain forest on Khao Nakkerd Hill high above Phuket, this gigantic 148-foot (45-meter) statue. From the statue’s base, visitors enjoy panoramic views of Chalong Bay and Phuket town. Continue to Promthep Cape is the most South point of Phuket. The point is one of the most popular areas of Phuket and for this matter has an iconic status. Due to its location and southern facing views, it offers a picturesque view of the Andaman Sea. Encounter Chalong Temple, the temple complex was built in its current location in 1837. Some remains of older structures have been found; however, it is unknown exactly how old they are. Next vist at cashew nut factory is a must for cashew nut lovers. The Cashew nut is a native produce that is grown in Phuket and other provinces of Southern Thailand, and are relatively cheap compared to prices in Western countries. Sightseeing at Old Phuket Town is an area of historical interest in Phuket City. Old Phuket Town is noted for Sino-Portuguese buildings on both sides of the street. Visit Nong Nooch Village Tropical Garden, an attractive tourist spot in Chonburi that features botanical garden, zoo and Thai Cultural Center with impressive shows. The vast area of the recreational park includes two lakes, bonsai, cactus, palm, and bromeliad gardens, a hothouse for orchids and ferns and a showcase of such animals as tigers, elephants, chimpanzees or parrots. The beautiful landscape also locates Thai Cultural Center, presenting groups of traditional Thai houses and cultural shows such as martial arts, hill tribe music and dance, a Thai wedding ceremony, a Buddhist ordination ceremony as well as elephant show, performing three times a day.
