Whether you’re travelling for the first time or you travel often, we know that packing for a trip is never an easy task. Here are our packing tips for a well-planned and stress-free vacation!

1. Find the right suitcase

Ask yourself for what purposes you are travelling. Is it for holidays or for a short business trip? How long will your trip last? This will enable you to determine the size and type of luggage you have to bring with you.

2. Don’t overpack

Remember: only take what’s really useful with you. A tip is to lay all the belongings you want to pack on your bed, then proceed to get rid of those that are not really important like the shoes you are taking with you “just in case”. Only pack the essentials!

3. Create a checklist

In order to make sure you don’t forget anything while packing, make a checklist of the things you absolutely need for your trip. Try to stick to the packing list as much as possible to make sure you didn’t forget anything and to prevent any overpacking.

4. Save some space

Always remember to save some extra room in your suitcase, especially if you’re planning to do lots of shopping when you’re away or if you love to buy gifts for your family.

5. Use proper techniques when packing your belongings

When you’re trying to save space in your suitcase, be intelligent in your packing methods.

  • Tip #1 – To maximise space in your luggage, roll your clothes instead of folding or stacking them. You will be surprised by how much space you can save this way!
  • Tip #2 – Every free space counts! Stack small objects like phone chargers, cables jewellery, or other products in your shoes if ever you’re low on space. This enables not only to save space but also to make sure your small belongings won’t get lost in your suitcase.

6. Think chronologically

Just think about your itinerary, and place your first day’s clothes at the top and your last day’s at the bottom. Also pack essentials like toiletry and electronic devices at the top since you will be using them since day one. Using this technique will help keep everything tidy and organised.
