Effective 01 April 2016, for tickets issued on or after 01 April 2016, Air Mauritius will apply piece system for routings originating Australia to Africa / Asia / Europe and routings originating Mauritius for travel to Australia.

Free baggage allowance shown on ticket will be as follows:-

• Economy class : 1 piece of Maximum 30 kgs . No further tolerance will be allowed.
• Business class : 2 pieces each of Maximum 32 kgs each.

There will be a dual situation of weight and piece concept depending on ticket issue date, when passengers check in at the airport until the weight system is phased out for above routings.

For excess baggage, if passenger holds ticket with piece as baggage allowance, below excess baggage rates will apply.

For passenger holding ticket with weight allowance, actual excess baggage rate per kilo will apply.

GDS will be updated for automatic pricing and issuance of EMD for excess pc at a later stage.
