As from this date Air Mauritius will discontinue with the system of baggage entitlement for its passengers based on the weight concept and will move completely to the piece concept for baggage on all routes across its network.
Hence for all tickets issued as from 15 June 2016 baggage allowance for passengers will be as follows:
(1) For travel originating Mauritius.
Passengers will be entitled to two pieces of baggage of 23 Kgs each in Economy Class and two pieces of baggage of 32 Kgs each in Business Class.
The two pieces of baggage will apply both for the outbound and inbound sectors and will be specified on the ticket.
This entitlement will apply for travel to all our online destinations from Mauritius except Rodrigues (one piece of 15 Kgs) and Reunion / Tana (one piece of 30 Kgs)
(2) For travel originating from outside Mauritius.
Passengers will be entitled to one piece of baggage of 30 Kgs each (except from Paris one piece of 23 Kgs) in economy class and two pieces of 32 Kgs each in Business Class. This will apply for travel from all our online destinations to Mauritius with the following exceptions:
- From Rodrigues- one piece of 15 Kgs.
- From Africa (JNB/DUR/CPT/MPM/NBO/DAR) – two pieces of 23 Kgs each.
In both cases as per (1) and (2) above, one additional piece of baggage up to 23 Kgs will be given for the following passengers:
- Kestrelflyer Cardholders (Gold and Silver) – given at airport upon presentation of card.
- Students (travelling on Student Fares) – will be specified on the ticket
