ITINERARY:

Day 01 Arrive Delhi Mk 749 0110 hrs.

Meet upon arrival and transfer to hotel (Room from 12 noon, but shall try to get room ASAP)

11 Am: Combind city tour of Old and New Delhi

New Delhi: The capital of the country has long been a phoenix rising again and again out of its ruins. Delhi is really seven cities in one, the first dating from the 11th century. See the famous Qutab minar-12th century 238 ft. high stone tower, indeed a masterpiece of construction, New Delhi was the creation of the British raj of the 30’s and includes the president’s house, parliament, india gate.

Old Delhi: For something close to Rudyard Kipling, visit the 17th century old Delhi; Jama masjid – the biggest mosque in india. Rajghat memorial where father of the nation mahatma Gandhi was cremated.

Day 02 Delhi/Chandigarh/Shimla

Transfer to railway station to board train to Chandigarh
Dep: Delhi 0740 hrs Shatabdi exp
Arr: Chandigarh 1100 hrs
Meet upon arrival and straight drive to Shimla (90 kms/03 hours 30 mins), on arrival check-in at hotel and day to relax.

Day 03 Shimla

Am: Excursion to Kufri – Around 16 kms from Shimla, provides ski slopes and is the center for winter sports in the state excellent view of mountain, Snow is subject to weather (mid Nov to Mar). There is an annual winter sports festival held here. Also visit sankat mochan temple (Jakhu temple), its walking visit with lots of monkeys around.
Pm: The Mall – is the main promenade for all visitors to Shimla, and also the place from where a grand view of the surrounding Himalayas can be had. You visit the scandal point and some nice cafes on the Mall. The Vice regal lodge, a magnificent building now housing the institute of advanced studies and the state museum with its prized collection of Kangra paintings to be visited.

Day 04 Shimla/Manali

Drive Shimla/Manali (250 km/approx. 7 hrs) enjoying the journey along lower Himalayas and Kullu enroute.

Kullu – valley is a very beautiful and narrow 2 kms wide with river Beas flowing through it. It is also known as valley of the Gods and dotted with shrines. Kullu valley is also known for fruits, flowering shrubs, trees and exquisite handwoven woolen shawls.

Day 05 Manali

After breakfast excursion to Solang valley OR towards snow point of Rohtang depending upon snow. Guest can enjoy pony ride, Zorbing, snow scooter etc by paying directly.
Pm: Hadimba temple, four tier pagoda temple in the thick deodar forest, Manali village across Manalsu nala -visit temple dedicated to Manu. Take pictures dressed in Himachali clothes in pines forest.
Eve: Free to walk around mall road where you can get some good bargains.

Day 06     Manali/Chandigarh

Drive to Chandigarh (320 kms/07 hrs.). on arrival proceed to visit Rock garden, Sukhana lake and Some free time in Sector 17 shopping area depending upon time.

Day 07 Chandigarh/Delhi/Agra

Transfer to railway station to board train to Delhi

Arr: Delhi 1100 hrs Ac chair car
Meet upon arrival and drive to Agra (200 kmr/04 hour), on arrival check-in at hotel.

DAY 08   AGRA/JAIPUR

Am: Taj mahal (closed on Friday), amongst world’s seven wonders. Taj mahal is like tear drop on cheek of time and known as monument of emperor’s love for his wife. More than 20,000 skilled workers shaped it in 20 years in 16 th century.

Agra fort: The Agra fort was once the flourishing center of the Mughal dynasty, and four successive emperors helped to create its massive walls, within which Hindu and Muslim styles merge into a splendid fusion of military might and lavish beauty.

There after drive to Jaipur (260 kms/05 hrs) enroute visit Fathepur Sikri Fatehpur Sikri: about 40 km from Agra lies the magnificent deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, the capital of great & loved emperor Akbar. During his brief stay here, a great complex of forts, palaces and mosques sprang up, but Akbar was finally forced to abandon his dream city due to scarcity of water, and it became a ghost town. This epic poem in sandstone lies `straddled across a rocky ridge, surrounded by immense walls with nine gates.
Continue drive to Jaipur. On arr check in at hotel.

DAY 09 JAIPUR         

AM: AMBER (PALACE) FORT: the original palace of the local rulers was built in the 17th century high up on a hill overlooking a lake, just below the vast and somber walls of the ancient fort of amber. The towers and domes of the amber palace are reminiscent of scenes from some fairy-tale. Its halls of victory is richly decorated with panels of alabaster with fine inlay work of tender colours. You ascend up the palace on board gaily caparisoned elephants, as did the maharajas of yore. (Optional elephant ride on direct payment of usd 12 pp extra)

PM: JAIPUR CITY: this 18th century city (capital of Rajasthan) is famed as “the pink city”, because of the local rose-pink-sandstone used in its construction. the fortifications give it a medieval atmosphere, but its well- planned layout is “modern”, built in 1728. visit maharaja’s city-palace, situated in the heart of the city with charming gardens surrounded by high walls; palace of winds (hawa mahal), a uniquely designed five -story structure with tiers of overhanging balconies of pink sandstone; maharaja jai Singh after whom the city was named, being a keen astronomer built an astronomical observatory which is still in use In the evening Indian you can watch Movie at raj mandir.

DAY 10 JAIPUR/DELHI

After breakfast drive to Delhi (265kms/05 hrs), on arrival check- in at hotel.
Day free for shopping with our vehicle.

DAY 11 DELHI
Day free for shopping (No vehicle)

DAY 12 DELHI/MAURITIUS             MK 745 0800 HRS
Transfer to airport to connect flight to back home
